We recently hosted a lunch for 12 top journalists at Hix Oyster & Chophouse at Farringdon. Journalists were invited to a game feast with celebrity chef Valentine Warner. Guests included journalists from the Guardian/New Statesman, Observer Food Monthly, Sunday Times magazine, Delicious, Daily Mail Weekend and food bloggers
The turkey team spent a day shooting web-films with This Morning’s Chef Phil Vickery to showcase turkey as an all year round meat. Recipe themes included Quick & Easy, Summer and Family Favourites.
Chinese New Year saw a day of radio interviews with the lovely Dean Edwards (ex Masterchef finalist), resident chef on ITV’s Lorraine. Interviews focused on healthy stir fries and Dean was a great spokesman.
We have been travelling the country with chef Tony Robertson and turkey farmers to talk turkey with students at catering colleges. Students are now invited to enter the Student Chef of the Year competition to win the chance to cook at the annual awards dinner for 250 guests.
We recently teamed up our British Turkey client with Peppadew Piquante Peppers for a series of joint activity, including press briefings, a recipe competition for bloggers and some delicious looking new recipes with photography.
We recently organised two days of Kikkoman Soy Sauce sampling in Sainsbury's stores. Money-off coupons and an inspirational recipe leaflets were also handed out to drive purchase and create awareness
